The Collaborative Program between Indonesian Literature Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret, and Academy of Malay Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Inter-institutional collaboration is crucial for enhancing the quality of graduates and institutions, especially on the international level. The Indonesian Literature Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret, has initiated this collaboration with the WUR QS 100 ranking, Academy of Malay Studies, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, since 2019. The collaboration takes several forms, such as student exchanges (2019, 2021, and 2022), lecturer exchanges, joint examinations (2019-present), and collaborative research publications through seminars (2021-2023). The International Seminar on Literature and Malay Studies was conducted in Kuala Lumpur on October 19, 2023.

This seminar was inaugurated by Associate Professor Dr. Sabzali Musa Kahn, Dean of the Academy of Malay Studies, University of Malaya, and concluded by Dr. Henry Yustanto, M.A, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret. In their speeches, both welcomed this collaboration and expressed hopes for its continued success. Indonesia and Malaysia are two culturally related nations, both rooted in Malay culture. The two nations are fostering efforts to preserve it in the disciplines of language, literature, and culture. This international seminar was attended by 40 presenters from various universities in Malaysia and Indonesia, with the Indonesian Literature Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret, sending nine presenters
