Zulfahmirda Matondang, born in Langkat, North Sumatra on November 19, 1996, is an alumna of the undergraduate program in Indonesian Language and Literature at Faculty of Cultural Science of Sebelas Maret University, with an entrance year of 2014. In 2018, she graduated and continued her master’s studies, pursuing a Master’s degree (S-2) in Linguistics at the same university. In 2020, she became a civil servant (PNS) at the Language Bureau of the Aceh Province and currently holds the position of Widyabasa Ahli Pertama.
While working at the Language Bureau of the Aceh Province, Zulfahmirda actively participates in the expertise group for dictionaries and terminology, particularly focusing on the vocabulary of the local language in the Aceh Province. Some lexicography products she has compiled include 1) the Maritime Dictionary Aceh-Indonesia in 2021, 2) the Cultural Dictionary Aceh-Indonesia in 2022, and 3) the Illustrated Dictionary Aceh-Indonesia in 2023. In addition to compiling lexicography products for the local language, she is also involved in proposing vocabulary from the Aceh Province to the Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia).
She has published several scientific papers in the field of linguistics, including 1) the article “A Meaning Component Analysis of Euphemism and Dysphemism in Indonesian Da’wah” in the International Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Translation Volume 3, 2020; 2) the article “Eufemisme dalam Dakwah Bahasa Indonesia” in the Prosiding Seminar Kebahasaan dan Kesastraan Balai Bahasa Kalimantan Barat, 2020; 3) the article “Tindak Tutur Direktif dalam Film Tiga Srikandi Karya Iman Brotoseno” in the Jurnal Ilmiah Kebahasaan Kekelpot Volume 16, 2020, and 4) the article “Aksara-ku.id: Social networking site and language standardization instruments” at the International Conference on Advance and Scientific Innovation (ICASI) in 2019.
