Wido Hartanto, born in Klaten, Central Java on July 13, 1990, is an alumnus of the undergraduate program in Indonesian Literature Program Study, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Sebelas Maret University from 2008 to 2013, majoring in Linguistics. In 2013, he pursued his Master’s degree (S-2) in Linguistics at Diponegoro University, Semarang, after being awarded with Beasiswa Program Pascasarjana Dalam Negeri (BPPDN) from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
Currently, Wido Hartanto serves as a lecturer at STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya and as a Guest Lecturer at State University of Surabaya with the position of Lector. He teaches courses in linguistics within his area of expertise. He has received research and community service funding multiple times from the Ministry of Education and Culture with various schemes. Most recently, in November 2023, he secured funding from National Research and Innovation Agency (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional) for a 3-year project under the Riset dan Inovasi untuk Indonesia Maju (RIIM) scheme, in collaboration with Sebelas Maret University. The theme of the project is Language Mapping in East Java and Central Java based on Augmented Reality (AR).
In addition to his role as a lecturer, he currently serves as the Head of the Literacy Laboratory and the Head of UPPKM (Unit Pengembangan Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa) at STKIP Al Hikmah. Particularly in the Student Creativity Program, he successfully led STKIP Al Hikmah to rank 10th in receiving funding in the LLDIKTI Region VII in 2021. He is actively involved as a reviewer in various Ministry of Education and Culture programs such as PKM and the Practitioner Teaching Program. He is also an active reviewer for the Stilistika Journal (Sinta 4) at Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya. Currently, he is registered as an expert trainer/facilitator for the Sekolah Penggerak Angkatan 2 by Ministry of Education and Culture in the Sekolah Penggerak.Terbaru program. Recently, he successfully guided the P2MW (Entrepreneurship Development Program for Students) team from STKIP Al Hikmah to qualify for the National Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) XIV at Ganesha University of Education Bali on November 15–18, 2023.
He has several publications, including scientific papers (both Scopus and SINTA indexed), books, and international seminars. One of his Scopus-indexed papers is titled “A Dialect Geography in Yogyakarta-Surakarta Isolect in Wedi District: an Examination of Permutation and Phonological Dialectometry as an Endeavor to Preserve Javanese Language in Indonesia,” published in the Heliyon Q1 Journal. Another SINTA-indexed paper is titled “Praat Visualization And X-Bar Theory in Controversial Speech ff Basuki Tjahaja Purnama,” published in the Gramatika Sinta 2 Journal.
Among the books he has published are “Etalase Cerpen Untuk Kinas: Hadiah Kelahiran Anakku” by Bina Guru Publishers in 2018, “Pertemuan Tiga Dialek: Sebuah Pengantar” by Bina Guru Publishers in 2020, and “Pengantar Linguistik Umum Lintas Generasi” by Bina Guru Publishers in 2022.
He has participated in various international seminars, including the International Seminar on Language, Literature, and Education (ISELL-ED) and the International Seminar on Weaving Language from Maluku (Maluku Provincial Language Center).
