Nita Handayani Hasan

Nita Handayani Hasan was born in Ambon on November 11, 1985, and is an alumna of the Indonesian Literature program at Faculty of Cultural Science of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta (2007). Nita continued her education by pursuing a master’s degree in Financial Management at University of Indonesia (2010) and a master’s degree in Linguistics at Airlangga University (2023). Currently, Nita is employed at the Language Center of the Maluku Province, part of the Language Development and Supervision Agency under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Nita’s career journey at the Language Center of the Maluku Province began in 2014 when she joined the office as a language and literature assessor. In 2018, Nita was appointed as the first expert researcher. Following the relocation of researchers to BRIN, Nita assumed the role of a widyabasa ahli muda in 2023. Her area of expertise is related to lexicography.

Actively engaged in research and writing in the fields of language and literature, particularly in the Maluku Province, Nita has produced several works. Some of her notable works include “Kisah Persahabatan antara Pulau Haruku dan Pulau Seram” (2016), “Pelestarian dan Pengembangan Mitos Ikan Lompa” (2017), “Kamus Percakapan Bahasa Alune” (2018), “Tata Bahasa Woirata” (Woirata Grammar, 2019), and “Kamus Dwibahasa Melayu Ambon—Indonesia” (2022). Currently, Nita Handayani Hasan also serves as the chief editor of the Journal Totobuang Kebahasaan dan Kesastraan.
