Febri Resky Perkasa is an alumnus of Indonesian Literature Program Study at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), entering the class of 2011. He is currently active in Teater KOMA Jakarta. In his early university years, he participated in various organizations and joined the Literature and Fine Arts Study Club at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at UNS, the Photography Club for Literature and Fine Arts (FOKUS), and eventually served as the Chairman of the Basketball Activity Unit for the Faculty of Cultural Sciences for the 2014-2015 period.
The world of theatre was still unfamiliar to him at that time. However, through a lecturer in Indonesian Literature at Sebelas Maret University, Drs. Albertus Prasojo, M.Sn, he eventually became acquainted with the performing arts, specifically theatre. On November 27, 2013, hundreds of people filled the Arena Theatre at Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah to witness the performance of “Teater WAE” titled “Wek-Wek,” a work by Anton Chekov directed by Drs. Albertus Prasojo, M.Sn. The performance served as the final project for the Drama Analysis course. For the first time, he engaged in the process and played a role as a performer in that production.
From that experience, he became closely acquainted with his faculty’s theatre group, Teater TESA, and decided to solidify his commitment by writing a thesis on the journey and history of Teater TESA titled “The Development and Trends of the Teater TESA Group at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta 1987-2014.” To complete his thesis, he engaged in discussions with the founders and trainers of Teater TESA from various generations.
That journey led him to join one of the legendary theatre groups in Indonesia, Teater KOMA. For him, the founders of Teater KOMA, N. Riantiarno and Ratna Riantiarno, are extraordinary mentors. In 2016, he was involved for the first time in the play “Opera Kecoa.” In the performance of Opera Kecoa, he played the roles of Bandit and Waria. Subsequently, in “Opera Ikan Asin” (2017), he portrayed characters Asrul and Utusan, in “Warisan” (2017) as Badut, in “Sie Jin Kwie: Melawan Siluman Barat” (2018) as Lauw Jin, in “Gemintang” (2018) as Satpam-2, in “Mahabarata Asmara Raja Dewa” (2018) as Hyang Wisnu and Balaupata, in “Goro-Goro” (2019) as Batara Brama, in “Jian Juhro” (2019) as Bakul, in “Savitri” (2021) as Batara Brama, in “Seri Panakawan: Baliho” (2021) as Mr. King/Lesmono, in “Sampek Engtay” (2022) as Macun, and in “Sampek Engtay” (2023) as Macun.
Not only involved in the performing, he also absorbed knowledge in managing performances from Sari Madjid, one of the senior members of Teater KOMA. In 2021, he was entrusted with the role of Stage Manager in several TEATER KOMA performances, namely “Calon” (2021); “Imajinasi” (2021); “Oh, Doktor” (2021); “Penari dan Biodata” (2021), “Pulang” (2021), “Arkanti” (2021), and “Padang Bulan” (2021).
