Farida Trisnaningtyas was born in Sukoharjo, Central Java, on October 2, 1986. She is an alumna of the undergraduate program in Indonesian Literature Program Study, Sebelas Maret University, having enrolled in 2004 and completed her studies in 2010. Currently, she works at an online media platform, GenPI.co, as the Assistant Editor.
In 2010, Farida began her career as a journalist at the local mass media, Harian Umum Solopos. During her time in print media, she was assigned to cover various specialized areas, including Arts and Culture, Education, Sports, Politics, as well as Economics and Business.
In 2021, Farida transitioned from working at a local print media to a national online platform, GenPI.co. In her new role at GenPI.co, she works as an Assistant Editor, taking on new responsibilities in the online media landscape.
Farida’s works have been recognized and appreciated by various parties, earning her several prestigious awards in the field of journalism. Some of these awards include 1st place in the Pertamina Journalism Award at the Regional Level for Central Java in 2020, 1st place in the Pertamina Journalism Award at the National Level in 2020, and the Favorite Winner of the Indosat Journalist Writing Competition at the Regional Level in 2020.
As a competent journalist, Farida has obtained a mid-level journalist certification (Wartawan Madya) from the Press Council (Dewan Pers). Additionally, during her professional career, she actively participated in various training sessions to enhance her journalistic skills. Some of the workshops she attended include the Financial Technology Journalism Issue Workshop, Mis-Disinformation Training for the 2024 Election, and Digital Security Workshop.
Apart from her professional commitments, Farida is also actively involved in organizational activities and is a part of the Independent Journalist Alliance (Aliansi Jurnalis Independen or AJI) in Solo. Additionally, she volunteers as an instructor at Kelas Inspirasi.
